Display and Design
The Samsung Galaxy A3 features a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels (qHD) and a pixel density of 245 ppi. It is the metallic unibody design which steals all the spotlight. It is one of the thinnest smartphones from Samsung with a thickness of 6.9 mm, and features a considerably low weight of 110 grams. The non-removable back cover means that the slot for accommodating SIM cards can be found on the right rim. The metallic handset is available in a host of color options including blossom pink, light blue, gold, white, black and silver.
Processor and OS
Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy A3 dons a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and paired with a 1GB RAM. This configuration lets you accomplish powerful tasks without posing any lag. It runs on the standard Android v4.4 KitKat OS dressed with TouchWIz UI. The handset is equipped with a range of Samsung's proprietary features including Ultra-Power Saving Mode, Private Mode, Multiscreen etc.
Camera and Storage
The main camera in the Samsung Galaxy A3 can capture 8MP stills, supports LED flash and digital zoom and record full HD videos at 30fps. It is the 5MP secondary snapper on the front that grabs the attention. It can capture images as wide as 100 degrees if used in the portrait mode and up to 120 degrees in the landscape mode.
