Display and Design
The Samsung Galaxy Star 2 arrives with a 3.5-inch display which plays pictures and videos at a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels (HVGA). It poses multi touch screen with a pixel density of 165 ppi which is on the lower side. The 11.8 mm thick body can be easily carried around. The handset has been launched in two colors - black and white.
Processor and OS
Under the hood, the smartphone has been configured with a single-core processor operating at a clock speed of 1GHz and further supported by a 512MB RAM. The low amount of RAM can slow down activities in case of multitasking or too much crowding of apps. It comes preloaded with the freshly launched Android v4.4 KitKat OS.
Camera and Storage
On the rear panel of the Samsung Galaxy Star 2, there is a 2MP camera supporting digital zoom which is capable of capturing modest videos and pictures. The storage needs of the user are handled by the 4GB inbuilt storage capacity along with a microSD slot that can take in cards up to 32GB.
Battery and Connectivity
From the connectivity point of view, the Samsung Galaxy Star 2 is equipped with features like GPRS with EDGE, USB port, Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and standard 3.5mm audio jack. The smartphone is powered by a Li-ion battery with a capacity of 1,300mAh that stores sufficient power to run the phone uninterrupted for a fair period of time.
