Meizu officially launched his last flagship phone - the 16s. The strong points of the phone include its large Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon 855 processor and dual camera configuration with OIS. The 16s features a 6.2-inch FHD + Super AMOLED display with a fingerprint sensor. Meizu announced that it has partnered with Samsung to create a high-quality screen to minimize the harmful effects on users' eyes. The company claims that its new flagship screen manages to filter 33% of harmful blue light and also supports DC dimming to reduce eye strain. The ratio screen / body reaches an impressive 91.53%. The phone also has stereo speakers for immersive sound while consuming multimedia content. The selfie camera measures 20 MP and comes with HDR + support and a refined portrait mode.

At the rear, the 16S features a dual-camera configuration with a Sony 48MP f / 1.7 OIS main sensor with a Bayer Quad structure and a 20MP f / 2.6 wide secondary shooter. The new configuration allows Meizu's "Super Night View", which is a night mode that can merge up to 8 photos into a single image to enhance low light photography. Another interesting addition is the multi-image noise reduction feature. Meizu promised to integrate the new features of the camera to older models via future software updates.

The Snapdragon 855 is internally powered by a 6 or 8 GB RAM DDR4X, while the storage capacity varies between 128 and 265 GB. The battery is 3,600 mAh and comes with a 24 W charger capable of 0 to 60% in just 30 minutes. Thanks to the optimization of artificial intelligence, Meizu users can expect up to 6 hours of play and up to 14 hours of video streaming. Rather good for a device only 7.6 mm thick.

In terms of software, we're looking at Flyme 7.3 on Android Pie, which offers a smoother user experience, faster application launch speeds and improved standby. Other options: dual-frequency GPS, Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC

Players will be happy to hear that the 16-year-old is introducing Meizu's new Hyper Gaming mode, which offers smoother graphics performance while consuming less power. The company has also added the mEngine 3.0 vibration engine for a more immersive touch experience during gaming sessions.

The 16 will be available in Carbon Black, Pearl White and Ghost Blue. The storage variant of 6 GB + 128 GB starts at 3 198 CNY ($ 475), the 8/256 GB version at 3,498 CNY while the high-end model of 8/256 GB forces buyers to return to 3,998 CNY ($ 595). Pre-orders start later today and official sales are scheduled for April 28th.
