Google Maps now shows real-time availability of nearby EV charging stations in US, UK

Google has made life easier for electric car users with its latest update in Google Maps. Electric vehicle drivers can now take advantage of updated live information about chargers availability in the United States and the United Kingdom, so they do not have to wait long for their next charge.

A simple search query "ev charg stations" will display the nearest loader and display the availability information. According to Google, users will be able to see details such as port types, upload speeds and availability, as well as photos, ratings and reviews from other drivers. Google announced that it has partnered with Chargemaster, EVgo, SemaConnect and Chargepoint to provide this data.

The update is live on Google Maps for the desktop, while mobile users will need to update their apps through Google Play or the App Store. Hopefully, the feature film will be released soon in more countries.
