Leak confirms Nubia Red Magic 3 will have a 90Hz display and a built-in fan

The nubia Red Magic 3 will have a 90Hz screen (these become popular, huh?). The brand has announced a refresh rate "higher than that of most gaming PCs", which is true from a technical point of view: most users still have a 60Hz monitor.

As you can see in the screenshot below, you can switch the phone to 60Hz mode, which will extend the life of the battery. The first option is "automatic", so we can assume that it will only go to 90Hz if necessary (be aware that few games support high refresh rates, the fact that Fortnite has a 60 fps mode was a great news).

The nubia Red Magic 3 will have active cooling - a real fan inside the phone. Leakster @rquandt says you can hear it when it turns on to cool the Snapdragon 855 chipset. We can not wait to see how this affects performance (including sustained performance).

Previously, we had tested the Asus ROG Phone, which has an add-on with an external fan, which certainly helped stabilize the frame rate during long gaming sessions.

Anyway, the Red Magic 3 should be unveiled on April 28 and be available worldwide in May.
